My german sheperd pup has a hernia. The breeder said this is not serious and can be pushed in and sewn up when I get her fixed. The vet who originally examined her noted that it may receed with age. Does anyone have any information about this issue?

When she gets spayed, they can surgically sew the hernia up. Your vet is correct, it is not serious. Just keep an eye that it doesn't start to enlarge, or become tender.
